9:00 AM - 1:00 PM Electricity: The Invisible Killer
Electrocutions continue to be one of the leading causes of fatalities in construction.

This program will explain and illustrate the primary electrical hazards in and around construction.

There will be special emphasis on the importance of recognizing and eliminating hazards in order to avoid shock and/or electrocution in the work place.

Also covered in the program will be MIOSHA standards that apply to electrical hazards; what constitutes a fatal amount of current and when overhead lines need to be de-energized.

If you believe that leadership is required in every part of your life, join us at TED Talks & Tea.

Lunch, coffee, and tea will be provided for attendees. If you attend three or more days, you will receive a certificate of participation (while supplies last).

This seminar will cover information for Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Respiratory Therapy, and Veterinary Technician programs. 

Health Information Technology and Surgical Technology degrees are not covered in either seminar.  For information, please speak with an academic advisor or counselor.
