8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Creating a Quality Culture in the Workplace

This sixteen (16) hour course provides the skill to stop the cycle of “un-quality” in your organization and create a culture of behavioral change to quality in all associates; this program explains to the team why there is a need to change and how they can approach work in a different manner. Develop a common lexicon for communication within your organization, develop a zero-defect mentality, acquire a systems thinking integration to your organization (all work is a process), and understand the validation of this achievement.  Cost: $590.

This twenty-four (24) hour course teaches students the fundamental math functions used in machining. The course will cover basic fractions and decimals as well as basic triangle and circle geometry relevant to the shop.  Cost: $885.

8:00 AM - 4:30 PM SPC-Statistical Process Control

This eight (8) hour course teaches the fundamentals of the planning, collection, and analysis of product and process data using variable control charts (Xbar & R) and process capability (Cpk.Ppk) calculations. Participants should be quality personnel or others responsible for the identification and implementation of product and process control. Cost: $295

SESSIONS INCLUDE:

• An introduction to Macomb’s transfer and articulation agreements with an overview of the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA)

• Review of transfer resources, scholarship information and Macomb student transfer discounts

• Learn how to maximize your transfer credit. Meet with a counselor/academic advisor for transfer information

After the sessions, meet with one of our 12 University Center partners: Central Michigan University, Davenport University, Ferris State University, Madonna University, Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Northwood University, Oakland University, Rochester College, University of Detroit Mercy, Walsh College, Wayne State University and Western Michigan University

3:30 PM - 4:30 PM South Campus General Student Walking Tour

Spring and Summer are the best times to visit our campuses.  Come hear the birds sing, smell the flowers, and bask in the sunlight all while getting familiar with us whether you’re a new or returning student, or, just interested.

Tours are highly recommended and involve a 45 minute walk of the areas students need to know while attending Macomb Community College like Records & Registration, Financial Aid, Counseling, the Learning Center, Career Services, just to name a few.

Advanced registration is not required, but please check in no later than 5 minutes prior to the start of the tour.

Dress for the weather as you will be walking outside. 

Also, let us know in advance if you are driving over an hour to see us, or require special assistance for the tour.

Looking forward to seeing you on campus!  We’ll even include a Summertime “goodie”!*
