Start Day Washington D.C.: Student Trip to Our Nation’s Capital (Multi-Day Event)

Have you ever wanted to visit our nation’s capital and immerse yourself in the rich culture and history of the region? In this new student travel offering, Professors Brooke Allen and Rochelle Zaranek will lead a 5-day, 4-night trip to Washington, D.C. Participants will visit famous national sites such as the National Museum of African-American History and Culture, Arlington National Cemetery, and the Lincoln, Vietnam and Korean War Memorials.
Three hours of MMII credit will be given to those who submit a short self-reflection paper to Professor Zaranek.

Ace the Interview: 1:30 pm
Learn how to effectively prepare for a job interview. Learn answers to interview questions, how to effectively use a portfolio in the job interview and complete the follow up to promote yourself into a new job.

Soft Skills Workshop: 2:30 pm
Discover the soft skills that complement your hard skills and are necessary for career success, such as appearance/attire, body language and effective communication techniques.

7:30 PM - 9:30 PM Board of Trustees Meeting

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that unless subsequently otherwise determined by the Board of Trustees of the COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT OF THE COUNTY OF MACOMB, the regular meetings of said Board for the calendar year 2017 shall be held on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m.

NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN that information sessions shall be held at 6:00 p.m. preceding each regular meeting as scheduled as a discussion and information session only.
