Event Description
Macomb Community College is seeking part-time instructors to teach the following courses:

CREDIT PROGRAMS

Applied Technology: CNC Machining, Building Construction Trades, Welding – Associates Degree and related industry experience required, certifications preferred. Daytime availability desired.

Automotive Technology: Automotive Service, Hybrid Electric Vehicles and Electric Vehicles, Transmission and Diesel Engine– Associates Degree required, Bachelors Degree preferred and must be ASE certified. Daytime availability a plus.

Climate Control Technology: Residential and commercial: Heating, cooling, refrigeration, or boilers- Minimum three (3) years experience and appropriate professional certifications. Daytime availability a plus.

Communications: Developmental Writing, Composition – Masters Degree in the specific discipline required. 
 
Humanities: Introduction to the Arts, Comparative Religions, Mythology, Studio Art (Jewel & Metalwork, Drawing, and Ceramics), Fine Art Appreciation, Foreign Languages (Arabic, Spanish, French, Italian & German-Instructors and Tutors), Public Speaking, Philosophy (Introduction to Philosophy, Logic, Ethics) – Master’s Degree in the specific discipline required- College teaching experience preferred.

Mathematics: Expertise in any of the following: Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Business Calculus, Calculus, Differential Equations, Math for Elementary Education, Statistics, and Trigonometry – Masters Degree in the specific discipline is preferred. Masters Degree in a related discipline with a minimum of math coursework terminating with Differential Equations will be considered.

Media and Communication Arts: Advanced Software skills in one or more of the following areas: Adobe Suite (InDesign, Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop, AfterEffects, Dreamweaver, Flash, etc.), Maya, Nuke, Lightroom, and AVID- Five years work experience as a graphic artist in traditional and digital graphic communications preferred. Prior experience teaching traditional and digital courses at a postsecondary level is preferred.
 
Nursing: Childbearing Family Nursing (Maternity), Childhood Family Nursing (Pediatrics)– BSN, a Michigan RN license and two years acute care experience in specialty required, MSN preferred.

Physical & Health Education: Physical & Health Education (with expertise in any of the following: Aerobics, Body Building, CPR/First Aid, Kickboxing, Nutrition, Pilates, Wellness, Self-Defense) – Master’s Degree or specific certifications required.

Product Development/Design: Advanced skills in Computer-Aided Design with software experience in one or more of the following: NX, Catia, and SolidWorks. Associate Degree required and five (5) years design experience preferred.

Science: Astronomy, Biology (with expertise in any of the following: General Biology, A&P, Microbiology and/or Nutrition), Chemistry, Environmental Science, Physical Science, Physics – Masters Degree in the specific discipline or closely related field required.

Social Science: Anthropology, Economics, Geography, History, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology – Masters Degree in the specific discipline required.
 
Renewable Energy: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Electronic Engineering and familiarity with various renewable energy sources, including a thorough knowledge of wind and solar energy, required.

WORKFORCE & CONTINUING EDUCATION (NON-CREDIT)

College 4 Kids: Architecture, Auto, Design, Gaming, LEGO, Science, Technology, Engineering & Math- experience working with youth in K-12 environment preferred.
 
Instructional Design: Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design required and a minimum 3 years experience.
 
Landscape Design: Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Design or Subject Matter Expertise with 10+ years industry experience. Areas of expertise should include, CAD (Landscape specific software), Design - hand rendering, Sustainable Design Practices, Hardscapes & Lighting and Horticultural expertise.
 
Pharmacy Technician: Pharmacist -- or -- Pharmacy Technician with PTCB certification and 5 years experience. Prior teaching experience preferred.
 
Quality Management and Lean Methodology: Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Management or Subject Matter Expertise with 10+ years industry experience. Areas of expertise should include: AS and ISO/TS, Blueprint Reading GD&T, Core Tools, Internal Auditing, Lean Processes, Six Sigma, Quality Standards and Management.
